Day 02 Early morning have an unusual view of hundreds local monks begging alms in order by the street. Then visit King’s Palace of Laos, Grand Buddhism Temples, View the sun-setting on Mekong River from hill, stroll in the evening and night market. ( B/L/D) Overnight in Grand Hotel
Day 03 In the morning get on board of German-Chinese owned cruise Mekong Prince at Louang Phrabang Port in Laos ( 0800 ). Visit Pak Ou Cave with thousands of small Buddha statues inside deep caverns. In the afternoon arrive in Pakbeng. (B/L/D) Overnight on board
Day 04 Cruise and arrive in Chiang Saen. Visit Wat Pa Sak , about one kilometer to the west of Chiang Saen in Tambon Wiang, was built by King Saen Phu in 1295 and three hundred teak trees were planted, hence the name Pa Sak (Teak Woods). It was then the residence of the patriarch. The temple’s chedi is of the beautiful Chiang Saen architectural style and the exteriors are elaborately decorated with designs. The chedi itself measures 12.5 meters tall with a base of 8 meters wide. Have buffer lunch in Imperial Golden Triangle Resort with the view of Mekong. Evening back to the cruise. Day 05 Visit the best Opium Hall at the Golden Triangle Park. which is sponsored by the Empress Dowager. Here visitors learn how drugs become a part of everyday life and obtain an understanding on opium prohibition, crime and conflict, effects of illegal drugs, and the efforts to curb drugs through actual case studies that offer choices and opportunities in fighting against the temptation of drugs. Hall of Opium also presents paraphernalia associated with opium smoking and trading. along with many photographs, films, and videos about opium and other illegal drugs from countries around the world. Day 08 0830 start to visit Ganlanba, morning market, water Dai villages, Burmese temple and rubber garden on the way. After lunch visit biggest Botanic Garden in China in Menglun. 17:00 back to hotel. 19:00 have dinner in the hotel. (B/L/D) Overnight in Jinghong
Day 09 08:30 leave the hotel for Wild Elephant Valley (natural reserve area), enjoy the elephant show, then take cable car to get through the primitive raining forest. 12:30 have lunch. 14:00 visit Dry Dai people village on the way back. 16:00 back to the city to try local tea in tea-house. 19:00 have Dai people’s Bar-B-Q as dinner. Day 10 Exit or extend the tour into China. (B)
