Day 1 After arriving in Kunming, Visit the Bamboo Temple. Overnight in Kunming.
Day 2 Today you will enjoy sightseeing in the Stone Forest. Overnight in Kunming.
Day 3 Take a flight to Lijiang. Visit the old town and the Naxi Culture Museum.Overnight in Lijiang.
Day 4 After breakfast, drive about 5 hours to Lugu Lake, where the Mosuo people live. They have unique living tradition, costume, architecture and marriage system. The Mosuo village is called "last domain of the matriarchy society in the world". At night, you are invited to take part in a Mosuo party. Overnight in a Mosuo house.
Day 5 Excursion in Liwubi and Tusi Islands. Return to Lijiang. Overnight in Lijiang.
Day 6 After breakfast you will then drive for 5 hours to Zhongdian, which is the gateway to Tibet. There you will experience authentic Tibetan culture in this mountainous region. On the way you will visit the Tiger-leaping-gorge on the Yangtze River. Then you will visit Shigu village that lies on the First Bend of the Yangtze River. The evening ends with an overnight stay in Zhongdian.
Day 7 Today drive to Deqin. On the way visit Dongzhulin Temple and Baimang (Write-snow) Mountain.Overnight in Deqin.
Day 8 Visit the hightest mountain in Yunnan: 6,740 meter high Meili-snow-mountain. Return to Zhongdian.Overnight in Zhongdian.
Day 9 In the morning you will visit the 300 years old Songzanlin Monastery, where the Yellow Hat School of Tibetan Buddhism is practiced. Also you will visit Shudu Lake. Make use of this chance to visit a Tibetan family, and experience the rural life of the local people. You will then return to Lijiang. Overnight in Lijiang.
Day 10 Today??s journey takes you to the Jade Dragon Snow Mountains and the Baisha Village with it??s frescos from the Qing Dynasty. Drive to Dali via the highway. Upon Arrival Dali, you will then check into the hotel.
Day 11 The tour starts with a boat ride in Erhai Lake, where you can enjoy the Bai Nationality three- course- tea and folk dance. Special Bai food such as sour and spicy fish will be served during lunch. The rest of the afternoon will be free for you to discover the old town of Dali and its colorful markets. Fly back to Kunming.
Day 12 Your sightseeing begins in the Western Hills and the Dragon-gate-temple. Then you will take a stroll through the Bird and Flower Market in the old part of the city. You will then be transferred to the airport for your departure. |
