Day 1 After arriving in Kunming, "the Spring City", you will then check into
the hotel. Your sightseeing begins at the Bamboo Temple. The evening
ends with an overnight stay in Kunming.
Day 2 In the morning and drive through the countryside southwards to
Shilin where you have one full day to explore the famous Stone Forest.
Enjoy Yiliang duck and famous Yunnan tea in a traditional restaurant.
Overnight in Kunming.
Day 3 Take a flight to Lijiang, which is one of the best- preserved ancient
towns of minority ethnic people in China. Lijiang belongs to the World
Culture Heritage of UNESCO. In the Dongba Museum, you can see the
pictograph that was developed by the Naxi Nationality 1,000 years ago.
This pictograph is still being used today. Then a local expert will take you
first to the ancient city of Lijiang where you can admire the beautiful
wooden houses and water systems. A traditional dinner will be served,
followed by a lively Naxi music show. Overnight in Lijiang.
Day 4 Today??s journey takes you to the 3,400 meter high Yunshan
meadow, the Jade Dragon Snow Mountains (cable car round trip) that is
5,596 meters above sea level and the Baisha Village with it??s frescos. You
will then drive to Dali, which lies between Erhai Lake and Cangshan
Mountain. Upon arriving in Dali, you will then check into the hotel.
Day 5 Visit the Erhai Lake by boat with a traditional Three-course-tea.
Sightseeing includes the Butterfly Spring and the Triple Pagodas from the
Tang Dynasty. The rest of the afternoon will be free for you to discover the
old town of Dali and its colorful markets. Then you will fly to Kunming, the
capital of Yunnan province. Overnight in Kunming.
Day 6 Visit the Western Hills and the Dragon Gate which was carved by
hand over 130 years ago on the cliff face of the Western Hills. It is over 300
meters higher than Lake Dianchi, which lies along the foot of the mountain.
You can then stroll through the Bird and Flower Market in the old part of
the city. After which, you will then be transferred to the airport for your
departure.
