| Day 1 Gyalthang (Shangri-la) Arrive Gyalthang. Rest & relax. Stay in old town (2-star, twin-share). |

| Day 2 Gonjo (2100m) Drive 2 to 3 hours to artisan village Gonjo (trail head 2,100m) and we also will visit Tangtoe village where Tibetans are making pottery, and Gonjo village, which is also making wooden bowls, Tsampa bowls and tables. |

| Day 3 Shuizhuang (2150m) Hike to Shuizhuang village. at the foothill of Mt. Balagezong (5,545m). We will first take a 6 hrs hike up to our first campsite in Shuizhuang village (2,150m/). The area is much warmer than Zhongdian. Yangtse River is just beside of Gonjo. |

| Day 4 Bala Village (2800m) Leaving Shuizhuang village in the morning, hike along Shangri-la valley through dense forests and across rivers to reach Bala village (2,800 m), where we will spend the night within the premises of a local school. Today??s hike covers a total of 26 km; despite the low altitude, this 7 hour-trek will be a long and challenging one. We will spend the evening drinking and chatting with friendly Tibetan villagers. |

| Day 5 Naidang Village (3700m) Morning hike to Naidang Village (3,700m) - our destination. We will hike along a steep mountainside to reach our campsite near the village. Although we will only cover 14 km, the high altitude makes this hike a slightly hard one. If weather permits, we should be able to get a stunning view of Balagezong peak from this point. |

| Day 6 Glacier (4200m) - Naidang (3700m) Today we will hike 4 to 6 hours up to the glacier ( 4,200m)and back to Naidang. If time permits, we will visit secret crystal lake which located on the timber line. |

| Day 7 Bala Village (2800m) Before retracing our way back to Bala village, We will descend to the village at the end of the day to camp again at the local school. |

| Day 9 Shuizhuan-Gyalthang We will descend from Shuizhuan village to Gonjo, where a car will pick us up to take us back to Zhongdian. After days of walking and camping, a hot bath and comfort of a soft bed will seem extremely appealing. Stay in old town (2-star, twin-share). |
