A memorial plaque and historical pictures in the shrine attest to their heroic spirit. Every year, in the spring and fall, the president of the country and leading government officials come here to pay their respects to the martyrs. Overseas Chinese also visit the shrine on Double Ten Day in October. The National Palace Museum, with its antique collection amounts to nearly 700,000 pieces whose age range covers almost the entire five-thousand-old Chinese history, has made itself the greatest and priceless treasure house regarding Chinese art on earth. Among the collection, you may enjoy Chinese earthen ware like pottery, porcelain, as well as bronze, jade ware, sculpture, embroidery, calligraphy and paintings, each piece is a true curio. For having been renowned for its abundance and artistic value world widely, the collection at Palace Museum is one of the main attractions to considerable numbers of visitor everyday. Chiang Kai Shek Memorial Hall. To express the affection and honor felt for the first President, this monument was built. It is in Chinese style with white walls and blue roofs, and contains a bronze statue of the president; the rooms underneath mount an exhibition of the President's rich life. Soldiers on guard at the Memorial are changed every hour, which is a favorite sight for tourists. The Presidential Office Building which is an important symbol for the people of Taiwan. The five-story structure is constructed in European Renaissance style and has a double-courtyard plan. The red-brick and gray-stucco facade and well-maintained front gardens give it a dignified, classical appearance. State ceremonies are held in front of the building on New Year's Day and National Day. In the afternoon visit Yangmingshan National Park which is the most natural of Taiwan's four national parks. Established in 1985, it covers an area of 11,456 hectares and stretches from Kuangtsui Mountain and Wuchih Mountain in the east to Hunglu Mountain and Mientien Mountain in the west. In the north, it extends to Chutzu Mountain, Earth God Ridge and in the south to Shamao Mountain. Elevation ranges from 200 to 1,200 meters above sea level. More than 40 years after its founding, Yangmingshan Park continues to charm visitors with its natural beauty and panoramic views of surrounding Chihsing, Shamao, Chutzu, and Chungcheng Mountains. The 61-hectare park occupies a small part of Yangmingshan National Park, but what it lacks in size it makes up for in diversity of flora and fauna. Hundreds of different kinds of flowers grow here, drawing crowds of visitors during the blooming season. Other attractions include a pond, a bridge with a stone inscription by Wang Yang-ming (after whom the park is named), groves of plum blossoms, and an eye-catching fountain. The park also contains a memorial to the 1911 Revolution and Taiwan's retrocession, Lungfeng Valley, steaming sulphur springs, and a roaring waterfall. Hot Spring which can be found in the Kuanghsi Valley between Tienmu Park and Tunhsu Junior College of Commerce and Industry. This volcanic area is alive with geothermal activity producing numerous hot springs and giving the area its unusual, fragmented topography. Bathers flock here on weekends and holidays to soak in the therapeutic spring waters, which can range in temperature from 50 to 80 degrees Celsius. The water has a high sulfur and mineral content, making it good for treating skin diseases, rheumatism, and arthritis.

Day 03  Visit Historical Background, Taroko became a national park in 1986, including Hua Lien County, Nan Tou County and Tai Chung County. It is the second largest national park in Taiwan. Taroko is famous for its spectacular mountains and marble canyons. Cliffs and canyons stretch along Li Wu River. Four million years ago, the island of Taiwan was formed by the collision of plates. After millions of years of wind erosion, the marble rocks were exposed and cut by Li Wu River, creating impressive grand canyons. From Tsing Shui to Nan Hu Peak, the drop height is 3,742 meters. Such special geography has also bred special flora and fauna in this area.  Cultural Highlights, the waterfalls characterized Taroko National Park and the most famous ones are Pai Yang Waterfall, Yin Tai Waterfall, Chang Chun Waterfall, and Lu Shui Waterfall. Yen Tze Kou and Chiu Chu Tung are the most impressive natural scenes in Taroko and the canyons here are the narrowest. Tourists can appreciate the natural beauty along the tour track. Swallows nest on the cliff, chirping and flying back forth. The Taroko monumental is designed in Chinese style and Chang Chun Temple is to remember those who sacrificed their lives for building the central highway. Chi-Hsing Bay Just north of Hualien (and directly east of the airport) is the obscure coastal village of Chi-Hsing Bay. The beach here is still largely undeveloped and boasts a spectacular backdrop of mountains. It would be a great place to relax were it not for one drawback: the sand has high gravel content, making it uncomfortable to sit on. On the south side of the village is a large teahouse that
overlooks the sea.

Day 04  Visit Sun Moon Lake is the largest natural lake in Taiwan, stands at an elevation of 748 metres , With a depth of metres, a circumference of 37 kilometres and a total size of 5.4 square kilometres . The southern part of Kuang-Hua Island is shaped like a new moon, and the northern part is shaped like a sun; hence the name Sun Moon Lake. In ancient times, the area surrounding Sun Moon Lake was known as " Shuishalian ", meaning  " where water and sand meet ". The area covered nearly half of what is today Nantou County , including the towns of Zhushan, Lugu, Mingjian, Shuili, Jiji, Puli, Yuchi, Renai, and Guoxing . Sun Moon Lake Located near the town of Yuchi , at the foot of Taiwan 's Central Mountain Range, Sun Moon Lake is centered between the island's overlapping high mountains to the east and its plains to the west. Sun Moon Lake , Toushe, Yuchi and Puli are all basins. Taiwan 's geologic development produced a rugged terrain with a variety of basins that gathered water and formed lakes. As the land eroded, many  lakes dried out and became the rich and fertile basin plains. Such was the course of development of the Puli and Toushe basins. Because Sun Moon Lake is positioned at a high elevation, it is less affected by basin segmentation and river erosion. As the highest basin in Shuishalian, Sun Moon Lake naturally gets a fair amount of rain from the surrounding mountain areas and only releases a small amount of water. In this way, it retains many of the same features it has had since the time the surrounding mountains were formed. Scenic resources, the most famous sights around Sun-Moon Lake, are the Te-Hua House, Kuang-Hua Island, the Hsuan-Tsang Mosque, the Tzu-En Pagoda, and the Wen-Wu Temple and so on. The natural forests bordering these roads are good places for bird watching. There are a lot of birds that live on the mid-elevation, such as the Grey-cheeked Fulvetta, Grap-throated Minivet, Formosan Yuhina, Gray Tree Pie, Bamboo Partridge, Chinese Bulbul, Muller's Barbet, and the Black Bulbul. Colonies of Black-crowned Night herons and Egretta garzettas, and birds such as the common kingfisher and the Green-winged Teal can be seen at the Chu-Hu water reservation, situated around the water gate. Besides these birds, fish, wild pigs, raccoons, insects and wild vegetables are flourishing in the region as well. These are all natural resources of the Sun-Moon Lake region. The Shao Clan is the earliest clan that lived in the Sun-Moon Lake region. The Harvest Festival, Sowing Festival and their special handicraft fair every year, as well as their articles has helped to preserve the particular culture of the Sun-Moon Lake region.
