Shenyang Railway Station
Located on the main line of Jing Ha Line, it is the linkage of railways in Northeast China and is the cross point of Shenshan, Shen Da, Shen Fu, Shen Dan, Shen Ji and Shen Ha Lines. The station was first built in 1907. In technical operation, it was set as a section station; in business, it was set as a passenger and cargo integrated station. And it was set as a special station according to the workload. Shenyang Railway Station mainly undertakes the arriving, departing and passing cargo and passenger trains on the above 6 lines. Every 2.9 minutes on average, there is a train arriving at, departing or passing the station. The station handles an average of 134 passenger trains and about 80,000 passengers daily. The station loads about 80 cargo trains; and unloads 270 to 280 cargo trains daily. There is a freight and consignment center, a general service company of ticketing, passenger transport, delivery, loading, unloading and travel. There are another 120 special lines used for whole-train or lumpish freight for large and medium-sized enterprises. In passenger transport, the station employs telephone booking, other-place booking, flowing booking, to and return ticket and joint journey ticket, and carries out computer network booking with the Industrial and Commercial Bank.
Shenyang North Railway Station
Shenyang North Railway Station is a large passenger railway station in the country. It was finished and came into operation on Dec. 22, 1990. The station handles 134 passenger trains, an average of 46,000 passengers (61,000 at most) and 11,000 pieces of packages (17,000 at most) every day. The station has a 16-storeyed multi-functional service building, 4 waiting halls, 1 soft-seat waiting hall, 1 luxurious waiting hall and 1 distinguished visitors room. The booking office and consignment office are in the east of the building, and in the west, there is the package drawing office. Inside the station, there are 4 platforms, 2 passenger underground passages, 2 special passages for packages and 7 passenger train lines. The whole station occupies an area of 110 hectares.
The station has 5 major departments of passenger transport, ticketing, package, delivery and equipment, 11 functional offices and tourist service, labor service, auto leasing and flower companies, as well as an agriculture and sideline base and the comprehensive service building. The station has a total of 3,246 employees.
