The mosque is located in the western part of Chengdu Square, and is the only open religious site for Muslims in the city. It was relocated here in November 1998, and occupies an area of 6.13 mu with a floor space of 5,600 square meters. The new mosque combines the style of Arabian architecture with buildings of Ming and Qing Dynasties.
