The charter flight airlines of Dunhuang-Jiayuguan-Lanzhou-Xi'an-Beijing have already been in service. The touring airlines for charter flights of Dunhuang-Lan- Zhou-Beijing, Dunhuang-Xi'an and Dunhuang-Jiayugauang-Xi'an will open in peak period. Charter flights can also be added during this period. For the volume increase of the passengers, the National General Office of Civil Aviation and the government of Gansu Province decided to enlarge the airfield in latter half year of 1999, without affecting its regular operations. The enlarged airfield will greet foreign and domestic passengers with its new appearance and high-graded, efficient and quick service.
