As the offset of Taishan Mountain, Culai Mountain is located to the southeast of Tai'an City with a distance of twenty kilometers, and it belongs to the state-level forest park. The words concerning it in The Book of Songs-Songs of Lu State are "Pine of Culai", and the record concerning it in Note of Waters is that "the mountain is rich in pines and cypresses". The area of Culai Mountain is about 250 square kilometers, and the highest peak is Taiping Peak with an altitude of 1,027 meters. With the back against Taishan Mountain, joining Xinfu in the east, and with Wenhe River winding westward, Culai Mountain has a humid climate, luxuriant trees, towering peaks and beautiful landscapes. There were many cultural relics and historic sites in the area, and now there still remain over 50 steles and more than 100 inscriptions on precipices through the years. The main scenic spots in this area are Taiping Top, the Original Site of the Armed Uprising against the Japanese Aggressors on Culai Mountain, Zhongjunzhang, the old site of Zhuxiliuyi, Duxiu Peak, Guanghua Temple, Caishi Valley, Shijieguli, and the inscribed scriptures on the cliffs in the Northern Dynasty, etc.
