Yangzhou, the Moon city of China, has been linked with the Moon by poets throughout history, and the 24-bridge is the best place to enjoy viewing it. Since 1989, the Yangzhou municipal people's government has held the 24-bridge Moon appreciating evening on mid-Autumn day alongside the Slender West Lake each year. The evening party extends alongside the water route that Emperor Qianlong took when touring the Slender West Lake.
In the evening, guests can also row boats on the lake, or sit in the gallery or pagoda, enjoying the Moon, watching performances and fire crackers, and appreciating fresh lotus root.
