Day 1/2/3 Arrive in Beijing. Welcome dinner. The tour incl. Great Wall, Forbidden City, Tiananmen Square, Ming Tomb, etc. 3 N in Beijing.
Day 4 Morning flight to Datong, visit Yungang Grottoes which are ancient Buddhist grottoes near the city of Datong. Afternoon visit Huayan Temple located on Daxi Street on the southwestern side of Datong City. Next visit Nine Dragon Screen built over 600 years ago, is presently the oldest and largest glazed screen in China. 1 N in Datong.
Day 5/6 Morning we drive to Pingyao. On the way you will visit Hanging Temple, built 1400 years ago. Its halls and pavilions were built along the contours of the cliff face using the natural hollows and outcrops. Then visit the Wooden Pagoda in YingXian County. Upon arrival in Pingyao, next whole day sightseeing will incl Ancient City Wall, Mingqing Street. Afternoon visit Rishengchang Exchange Shop established in 1823. Later visit Ancient City Government Office and Qingxu Taoist Temple. 2 N in Pingyao.
Day 7 Morning is free. Then drive to Taiyuan. On the way you will visit Chang’s Family Courtyard and Jinci Temple, which is a combination of historical cultural relics and beautiful landscapes. This Temple is world-famous because it is an ancient ancestral temple, rare in China. In the evening take train to Luoyang. O/N the train.
Day 8 Being arrived will visit the world's art treasure, Longmen Grottoes which is one of the four grottoes of China listed in the World Cultural Heritages. There are over 100,000 statues, 2,800 steles and 40 pagodas and 2,300 holes, so at least 2 hours are needed to appreciate these splendid artworks.1 N in Luoyang.
Day 9 Morning drive to Dengfeng to visit the world famous Shaolin Temple including Pagoda Forest, where you can also enjoy a marvelous Kungfu performance. Shaolin Temple is the cradle of the Chinese Buddhism and the Shaolin Martial Arts. After lunch take flight to Chengdu. 2 N in Chengdu.
Day 10 Drive to Bifengxia Panda Reserve Base - the largest Panda reserve base in the world with the most advanced equipments. There are over 20 research laboratories and feeding centers including Panda Breeding Spots, Panda Kindergarten, Panda Hospital and the Research Centers. Then visit the Shangli Old Town, located in the north of Ya'an City, Sichuan. It is an important stop of the ancient Tea-Horse Route in history. Later drive back to Chengdu.
Day 11 Morning visit Qingyang Taoist Temple (Green Goat Temple), the largest and oldest Taoist temple in the city, which is also the largest Taoist area in Southwest China. Being in the list of Chengdu Historical and Cultural Protection Project, Broad and Narrow Alley is composed of broad alleys, narrow alleys and across alleys, among which, there are a lot of traditional courtyards, or quadrangle courtyards. Later fly to Shanghai. 2 N in Shanghai.
Day 12/13 Day12 morning is free. Evening have a night boat trip on Huangpu River. Farewell dinner with local flavor will be arranged for you. Shanghai is a city that must be appreciated. City tour incl Shanghai Museum, Yuyuan Garden laid out in the 16th century. Strolling through the bazaar surrounding the garden, you will find lines of stores that sell traditional Chinese arts and crafts. Then visit Chenghuang Bazaar. Next comes the Bund, one of the most famous thoroughfares in China. Day 13 leave for home,end of
service.
