The restaurant, founded during the Qing Dynasty (1644-1911) and located at Wanfuqiao in the north suburb of Chengdu, deals in bean curd with mince and chili oil. According to historical records, such bean curd was listed as noted food in Chengdu at the end of the Qing Dynasty and became well-known in the country by the 1920s. Today, the restaurant not only maintains the traditional flavor but also has made further development in the varieties of bean curd. It includes the bean curd banquet and medium-grade Sichuan dishes on its menu. Comfortable private dining-rooms of different sizes are provided to meet the varied requirements of domestic and foreign customers.
Remarks:
The restaurant is staffed with famous chefs. In October 1988, it was invited by the Japanese Government to participate in the Chinese Instruments Fair. The noted dishes served in the restaurant have been included I the book Collection of Famous Chinese Cuisine (Sichuan) compiled under Chinese-Japanese cooperation.
