The Qingxiushan Mountain scenic area in Nanning is a land of forest-clad hills and rolling mountains surrounded by blue lakes and winding rivers. Several attractions have been developed since 1997, including the Palm Garden, Fragrant Flower Garden and an equatorial rainforest garden that gathers nearly 1,000 subtropical rare plants. The newly erected Tropical Fern Garden is the largest of its kind in China and is home to some 60,000 cycads.
The gardens of People's Park display plants growing under foliage dotted with special dragon trees and mountain tortoises, a scene rich in subtropical plants.
The Golden Scented-Tea Park is centered on the cultivation of several varieties of tea, with the most precious being the Golden Scented Tea, known as the Queen of Teas and protected at the State level. The variety of golden scented tea collected from this gene pool is rated the best of its kind in the world. The Liangfengjiang State Forest Reserve has unique features. These unique treasure houses of plants offer a splendid combination for the appreciation of rare plants. A typical tour would include People's Park, The Golden Scented-Tea Park, and Qingxiushan Mountain.
