The Guangxi Medicinal botanical Garden, covering an area of 200 hectares, is divided into seven districts where various herbs of more than 2,130 varieties are cultivated. Sampled in the garden are all the medicinal herbs commonly used in traditional medicines in China as well as several from Southeast Asia.
The largest medicinal botanical garden in the Asia-Pacific Region, it is also a beautiful garden in its own right. Visitors can also sample medicinal foods, take a medicinal bath or buy patented Chinese traditional medicines.
The garden offers a rare chance to appreciate and identify medicinal herbs, and lectures and demonstrations help visitors gain an understanding of the foundations of the foundations of Traditional Chinese Medicine. The garden also includes a sanatorium where treatment with TCM and herbal medicine is available. Tourists can visit the Guishengtang Gourmet Center affiliated with the World Culture Recreational City to taste a colorful shrimp banquet after a long day of touring the countryside. The center offers a variety of flavors that incorporate the native flowers. These flowers are rich in vitamin C and are believed to be very beneficial to health.
Before dinner, visitors can savor the scented tea while appreciating the surrounding potted landscapes, flowers, grotesque stones and calligraphy, or join locals as they fish for the catch of the day. After dinner, visitors can enjoy a facial massage with scented flowers, a perfect way to relieve the fatigue of travel.
