Immortal Cave National Forest Park is located in the center of Bingyugou Scenic Spot, with precipitous, lofty, peculiar and beautiful mountains, a lot of caves and towering old trees. Immortal Cave, which lies in the cliffs of the mid-Tiantai Peak of Mt. Longhua, is a huge limestone cave. This cave is originally called Banruo Cave (which means the cave of wisdom by Buddhists). According to the record of Zhuanghe County, there had been a Taoist priest called Hongzhen practicing asceticism and becoming immortal in the end, so the people began to call it Immortal Cave instead of Banruo Cave. From the main cave, people can see thousands of meters below and distant mountain peaks, which makes people feel like immortals. On the way to the Immortal Cave, there are two temples: Longhua Temple in the east and Shengshui temple in the west. So there are temples inside caves and caves inside temples, Buddhism and Taoism existing together.
The largest red pine forest in Asia lies in the forest park scenic area. Besides, there also grow a lot of rare trees peculiar to North and Central China, such as Languo Zizhu, heavenly maiden lily magnolia, Haizhou
Changshan, Sanya Diaochui, Dengtai Trees, Yuling Flowers, and Yanmu. The number of varieties is so huge that there is no rival in south
Liaoning.
The forest park has invested tens of millions yuan in getting through the cave from the park to the Bingyugou Scenic Spot and tourists can go to Bingyu Scenic Spot free of charge. The park offers package services including food, accommodation, entertainment and professional guides, which will surely make tourists enjoy themselves so much as to forget to go home.
