The old residence of Tan Sitong, also known as the official residence of the senior official of the Qing imperial government, is located in the Bei zheng Road of Chengguan Town in Liuyang County. It was built in the late years of Ming and early years of Qing, covering an area of about 1000 square meters. Situated towards the northeast, it is a brick and timber structure with a successive two-courtyard layout design with a garden in the east of the southern China courtyard residence. It covers a construction area of about 1200 square meters. It has been well preserved and is now used by the town's residents. In 1989, the Liuyang County government announced that it is a historic site under the protection of the county.
