Located at No.75 Yixing Street in Xinhua District of
Haikou, this building was built in memory of Wang Zuo of Ming Dynasty. Wang Zuo was a local resident of Lingao County in Hainan. Being much learned and talented, he was called one of the "Four Geniuses of Hainan" together with Qiu Jun, Hai Rui and Zhang Yuesong. The original temple was built in the Ming Dynasty, and the present one was constructed in Qing Dynasty. The temple occupies an area of 1,193 square meters. It is built completely out of bricks and timber, as other traditional Chinese styled buildings. With carved beams and painted rafters, this building looks really grand and graceful.
